A free “open door” to the arts for all citizens in North Texas, ARTsPARK was initiated in October, 2010 at NorthParkCenter. Due to rave reviews, it was held a second time in March 2011, and is on track to become an annual spring event. ARTsPARK features representatives from more than 100 arts and cultural organizations, who gather together on a specific day to conduct workshops, give performances and showcase their organization’s events, classes, membership and more. ARTsPARK provides the public a one-stop shop for engagement with the arts and allows arts organizations an effective means to build new audiences. This is a partnership project between North Park Center and Business Council for the Arts.

BCA formed a partnership with Alliance Data and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Collin County to bring arts education to students at the Planobranch. Alliance Data associates utilized a BCA-created curriculum to teach students basic art skills, and the students’ artworks were then judged by professional artists in the Alliance Data’s On My Own Time art exhibition.

The American Airlines Art Leadership Council was formed by graduates of the Leadership Arts Institute to provide opportunities for employees to demonstrate leadership abilities, while simultaneously enhancing the reputation of American Airlines in the community. Each year, participants of the class are responsible for organizing and implementing the On My Own Time art exhibition held at the American Airlines offices.
