Medical Mysteries in Art History – Part II!

Join us for a continuation of the fascinating merger of the medical profession and the arts!

Our guest speaker, Mr. Thomas Heyne, combines his dual passions for medicine and art with diagnoses of the aristocrats and patrons who are portrayed in works of art by master artists of the Renaissance, Baroque and Neo-Classic periods. These paintings by Raphael, Holbein, Velazquez, Rembrandt, Goya, Ingres and David unwittingly reveal the physical challenges of their subjects, giving us a unique window into art history.

At Galleri Urbane “Fairest of the Fair” will include selected works from top collected artists from the Dallas Art Fair, Jessica Drenk, Kate Carr, Michael Berman, Gail Peter Borden, Theo Wujcik, and Jason Willaford; and introducing Ben Hirschkoff and Caroline Lathan-Stiefel.

The Lone Star Wind Orchestra (LSWO) kicks off the New Year partnering with the City of Valencia, Spain and Dallas, Texas to bring you a culturally enriched program titled “From Dallas to Valencia.” The evening will feature music by Valencian composers and celebrate the new Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge designed by Valencian architect Santiago Calatrava.
