In 2011, Leadership Arts Institute class members initiated an exploratory committee to establish an Arts Professionals Alliance (APA) to serve individuals working for non-profits, for-profits, educational and government entities in North Texas.

Goals included: defining arts professionals as a constituency; connecting professionals from diverse arts and cultural organizations; and, strengthening relationships under an inclusive regional umbrella. The APA seeks to further business relationships with art through an association for arts administration professionals.
