Our mission is to create strong business/arts partnerships that build world-class communities where people want to live, work and grow.

Business Council for the Arts (BCA) is a nonprofit business membership organization, founded in 1988 as an initiative of the Dallas Citizen’s Council by Raymond D. Nasher and other local business leaders.

BCA engages businesses and business leaders in arts and culture in order to further:

  • Business Growth: Connect to new markets and customers through involvement in important community causes and by uniting business with culture.
  • Leadership Development: Promote your corporate brand and business through strategic board placements and gain access to information about economic development and opportunities through the North Texas Arts Alliance.
  • Employee Engagement: Foster your employees’ creativity and enrich corporate environments through artistic collaborations and involvement in the region’s cultural organizations and activities.
  • Publicity Opportunities: Enhance your image in the news and with the public through targeted media campaigns linking your businesses to important arts initiatives.
  • Innovative Thinking: Boost creativity and encourage problem solving through art-focused programs and access to conferences, workshops, seminars and consulting services.
  • Company Diversity: Enhance employee growth with access to regional culture, bridge multiple generations of workers and connect with affinity groups to enrich corporate environments and positively affect the employee landscape.
