What is On My Own Time (OMOT)?

On My Own Time (OMOT) is the only annual art competition that features the artistic talents of business professionals throughout North Texas. Each summer, area companies hold in-house exhibits featuring artwork that was created outside of working hours by their employees (hence, the title of the program). Winners in each of ten categories are selected by expert jurors. In addition, the jurors select a Best of Show winner and company employees are asked to vote for a People’s Choice winner.

Those awarded First Prize and Best of Show awards advance to the regional exhibit, where the best pieces from all companies are exhibited at NorthPark Center. Region-wide recognition from On My Own Time has proven extremely beneficial for employees personally, and for the firm’s corporate image.

This program, now in its 19th year, successfully recognizes and encourages creativity, stimulates dialogue, and builds team spirit among the employees of participating companies.
