UDR and Vitruvian Park
Business Council for the Arts is pleased to feature UDR and Vitruvian Park as the May 2012 BCA Corporation
of the Month!
Business Council for the Arts is thrilled to welcome Vitruvian Park, and its developer UDR, as one of our newest members! The goal of Vitruvian Park reflects UDR’s mission of unified living by creating a new development in Addison for enjoying arts and nature.
Designed on an appealing human scale, mindful of the ancient principles of Vitruvius – the renowned Roman architect. and of Leonardo de Vinci’s study of man – the development will put urbanites within a few minutes walk to work, play and home. To be executed in an environmentally responsible and thoughtful way, Vitruvian Park(SM) will become a model for sustainable urban development and will attest to UDR’s determined commitment to being a leader for responsible development. The community will include a 12 acre park built around a spring-fed creek and connected to area bicycle and jogging trails, a second neighborhood park with an amphitheater and a third park for a variety of outdoor games establishing Vitruvian Park(SM) as a community for active urban dwellers.
Savoye, which broke ground in May 2008, is designed to include 392 apartment homes as well as 16,000 square feet of retail space at the street level. Residents will enjoy restaurants, vital services and a 12 acre park with jogging and bike trails designed around a meandering creek and ponds.
